Some Thoughts......

Well finally the girls are off to bed and Ted has called it a night, so here I am. It has been a long couple of weeks, and we are all tired in more ways then one.

About a week and a half ago I got a call from my mother asking me if I could meet her and my dad in Bellingham and pick her up. She needed to get to Chehalis to see her dad cause he was failing fast. So I packed up the girls and headed to pick her up on last Tuesday. We ended up taking a whole lot longer to get to her then we planned. I left my house at 9am and made it as far as Longview, WA by I think it was 11 something. Anyway, I had to get some caffeine in me or I was not going to make it, and change both girls so they would be dry and happy. I also fed both girls. Then we started back on the road and made it another 45mins to Chehalis, Lillie was very unhappy so I stopped at Bro. Burgess' church and fed her. Then wouldn't you know Abby filled her diaper just as I was getting ready to leave there. So I changed her, got the girls back in the van and headed back down the road for another, oh about 20 mins or so. Lillie still was not happy, so we stopped at a rest area just before Olympia and I gave her some wonderful gripe water. Then we were off again and Lillie finally fell asleep. We made it thru Olympia then hit traffic. We were almost completely stopped for about 2 hours. There was a bad wreck just before Ft. Lewis. By the time we got going again Lillie had woke up and was hungry, again. Kristina lived about 5 mins off the freeway so I called her and asked if I could stop and feed Lillie at her house. Abby was sleeping but woke up as soon as we stopped at her place. Then finally we were off again. I had been texting my parents giving them updates the whole time and we decided to meet a little closer to where I was, for the girls sake. We finally got to Marysville, WA , I think it was between 5 & 6pm sometime. We met at McDonalds and ate, then there is a nice outlet mall right there so we let Abbygail run some energy off for about an hour and headed back South. We finally made it to my grandma's in Onalaska, WA around 11pm. To say the least it was a very long day for all of us and the girls were wore out. Abby only slept I think about an hour or so all together.

Wednesday, I kind of just hung around the house and let the girls get some sleep. Then we headed in to see grandpa and be with my mom at about 4pm. We were there for about a half hour and my grandpa passed from this life. I am thankful I was able to be there with my mom during this hard time.

We ended up having a memorial service for grandpa on Saturday, because my mom is leaving for Russia on Thursday and wouldn't be back until the 2nd of July. It was a very hard time for all of us.

I have many wonderful memories of my grandpa Albert and will cherish them forever. I will miss going to Onalaska and not seeing him. He was a wonderful man.

Ted preached for Bro. Burgess Sunday morning, which was our first time being back there in almost 3 years. It was nice to see everyone again and we are looking forward to seeing them again next month.

We made it home Sunday night about 8pm and everyone was very tired. We are all still trying to catch up.

I finally got most of my house cleaned after being away and my laundry done.

Ted has been working long hours so far this week. He stepped on a nail today and his foot is hurting pretty bad. He is not looking forward to working with a very sore foot tomorrow. I am praying God will touch him and he will have no pain when he gets up and all day at work. We are thankful he is working though.

Mom, We are praying for God to give you the extra strength you will need over these next couple of weeks. I am praying God will just give you whatever you need to make it through this time. I wish I could be there to help with anything I could.

Ted and I are praying for a miracle that we will be able to move up to Dawson the end of July, instead of just going to help with Fall Fair and having to come back here. We feel that is where we belong, and we are ready to be there.

Well now that I have written a book. I will sign off for now. I am going to bed. Goodnight!!!!!!

Back to making stuff

Well, I am back at it again! I have decided to try and start making a little extra money to help us, maybe get to Dawson Creek sooner. So if you know anyone that is interested in buying some of my stuff let them know about me. Also let me know what you think. I will be starting to put my stuff on the internet as soon as I can figure this all out. As you can see my model's are going to be fun to work with!

Always something new @ our house.....

Well Lillie giggled for the first time on Monday. I was getting her ready for her bath and talking to her and something struck her funny. It was so sweet. She is a pretty happy baby and I am so thankful for that.

Abbygail of course is always coming up with something new. She is really starting to copy words that I say. She told her papaw yesterday "I miss you" I don't think he really knew what she was saying but I was proud of her.

Lastnight I was trying to make some new little hair things so that I could start selling them again online and she just thinks she has to help with everything. Needless to say I didn't get much done. I think I spent more time getting the stuff away from her then making anything. Oh well, it was fun. I just have to do stuff like that when she is sleeping, I guess.

Lillie slept until after 10 this morning. I can't believe it. She sleeps about as good as Abbygail did when she was her age. Abbygail woke a little after noon. So I actually got some things done around the house this morning while my girls slept.

Ted's work might be slowing down again. We are praying God will keep him busy. I know He can!

I thought you all might enjoy the fun pictures of the girls. Poor Lillie if I don't put the curling lotion in her hair it just frizzes out and sticks straight up. I have tried to put water on her hair a combed it down to try and get it to stay down that way, it doesn't work.

Well I am off to the dreaded dentist today to get a filing replaced. I'm not really looking forward to it. I don't think Ted is either, cause he will be watching the girls. Hopefully Lillie will sleep most of the time. Pray she doesn't poop cause he won't know what to do. We'll see how he does.

Lillie's First Easter

This was Lillie's very first Easter. We had a pretty good day.

Abbygail & Lillie looked so cute in their matching dresses. And of course I had to make them a bow to match.

We had Easter dinner at Steve & Sue Fackler's house and they gave Abbygail her very first Easter basket. Of course she was thrilled about that. She wasn't really sure about how to look for it in it's hiding place. So we helped her out on that. We also kind of have been helping her out on eating the candy. She was also old enough to get a good bag at church.

Our good friends the Stewart's are here right now preaching a revival. We are thrilled about that. We always enjoy spending time with their family. They are very special to our family. We are looking forward to spending time with them over the next few weeks.
Who knows maybe next year we will be in Canada for Easter!!!!!!

Fun, fun, fun.....

Today was so beautiful, it was in the 70's most of the day. I didn't get to get out and enjoy it much though. I have spent most of today cleaning and dealing with a crabby Abby. As a matter of fact she is being just that right now. She has been kind of feeling not real well the last couple of days.

Yesterday I took the girls and their cousins to the park. It was so gorgeous & hot out. The only problem was Lillie decided she was hungry when we got there, so we had to cut our park visit short. Abby was a little overwhelmed by all of the kids that were at the park. We had fun while it lasted.

I have to say we had a wonderful weekend this past weekend. Our family went and stayed at the Fackler beach house in Lincoln City. It was so awesome. We went on Friday and left on Saturday night. We took Abby and Lillie for a beautiful walk down by the water on Saturday. It was Lillie's first visit down to the ocean. Abby loved walking on the sand in her rubber boots. She did fall down and put a nice little nose print in the sand. She didn't like that quite as much. She is at such a fun age, I love to watch her and see what new thing she is going to come up with next. It was just so nice to get away and spend time as a family together.

After Abby fell down....as you can see she is not at all pleased!

Lillie's Dedication

What a special day this was. March 15th we dedicated our precious new baby Lillie Marie. Along with Daddy, Mommy, & Abbygail, her Papaw, Mamaw, Mimi, Great Grandad, Great Ganny, Uncle Ben, Aunt Jen, Alyssa, and Hailey were all there to share in her special day. Bro. Davies made some comments and Papaw Bridges prayed for us.

Papaw & Mamaw Bridges flew in just to be here for the dedication. We only got to spend 2 days with them but every minute was precious to us. It was Lillie's first time meeting them. Abby sure enjoyed playing with papaw, so much that she wouldn't go to bed until after 1am. So I got to stay up with her while everyone else slept. Story of my life....no sleep for mommy.

We missed Uncle Smitty, Aunty Sarah, Aunty Oline, Haden, Faith, & James. Can't wait to see them. Hopefully soon.
